What our clients say about us

Steve Leventhal, Executive Director, CorStone, USA

As a US-based NGO with a rapidly growing presence in India, we were seeking a communications firm that could accurately and professionally reflect the significant and well-documented impact our resilience training programs are having on the health and education of marginalized Indian adolescent youth. We tried several firms and frankly we were disappointed with all of them. Finally, we met Footprint and we couldn't be happier. From the get-go, the relationship has been one of dynamic partnership. The team has been innovative in their approach, on-message, and driven to get us the results we needed. Thank you Team Footprint!

Minerva Strategies partnered with Footprint Global Communications to secure Indian media coverage for the launch of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation’s (IHME) Global Burden of Disease Study 2010 (GBD 2010). GBD 2010 detailed the impact of 291 diseases, injuries, and risk factors in 187 countries over time. This momentous study provided the most up-to-date, in-depth picture of the world’s health challenges to policy makers, experts, and the general public.

In March 2013, IHME launched country-specific findings of the GBD 2010 – including findings for India – with Bill Gates and other global health luminaries. The Footprint Global team did a fantastic job of working with a complex, worldwide study to develop stories that were relevant and compelling to Indian national and regional media. Throughout the project, the Footprint Global team was strategic, energetic, and fearless about approaching media. They were also smart and honest about which stories would and would not work for reporters in the competitive Indian news environment.

Due to Footprint Global’s enormous effort, coverage of the GBD 2010 was strong. More than 30 stories appeared in major India mainstream and health-specific news outlets including The Hindu, The Times of India, and The Business Standard.

Minerva Strategies subsequently worked with Footprint Global Communications on media outreach for additional IHME studies, including a January 2014 study on global trends in tobacco use. With each effort, the Footprint team became more knowledgeable about IHME’s research and more creative in their pitching efforts. The team is also dogged in its follow-through; they never let a potential story slip away without directly communicating with a reporter or trying different angles.

Bhavani and the Footprint Global team are top-notch professionals. They have been fantastic to work with, and I would highly recommend them to any organization hoping to extend its reach in India.

Team Footprint brings a great blend of creativity, commitment and execution strength. They take a holistic view of the challenge we might present them with; the perspective of the end-user customer, the business itself and the broader business community - so their solutions are robust and well thought through. They are very open in their thinking and have a good understanding of our brand.
